Glad I'm not a bald eagle

While hiking at Amicalola Falls State Park Luke thought he spotted a bald eagle. ( I looked but couldn't see anything ).  So, he immediately put his hand on his heart and began to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.  After finishing, he told Ken that bald eagles only live for 30 years. (Which after Googling, I found to be a fact).  He went on to say,"Mommy, if you were a bald eagle, you would be in heaven with all of the other bald eagles."  (Fyi: I'm 33 years old) Thanks Luke, glad I'm not a bald eagle.

In case you missed it........continued

During the January snow days, the kids were absolutely restless, so they
decided to take a a bubble bath.  I came into the bathroom to find suds everywhere, so I asked who had poured all of the soap into the tub. "Libby did it!" Luke quickly answered.  "Well, you probably told her to do it didn't you?" I asked. Hanging his head, he said "Yes, I told her to do it" and then quickly added"But she shouldn't have listened to me."

just warnin ya

First let's get one thing straight before we go any further, Luke will talk to anyone who will and, as a matter of fact, who won't listen to him.
While we were having dinner tonight, after luke had already fallen out of his seat, oh yea, because he NEVER stops moving, proceeded to share his thoughts with the waiter on his next visit to our table. "If you have any more problems while we are still here, it will be my sister."  The waiter found this comment quite amusing since little sister, for the most part, had sat quietly in the corner all evening.  As he turned to leave, luke called out, "Just warnin ya!"

In case you missed it.....the series

Let's back up to January 2011.  This series of events is what led to the start of the blog. Here is the first in the series:
The discussion in luke's kindergarten class after returning from christmas break was "New Year's Resolutions".  None of the kids seemed to know what it was nor had made a resolution of his or her own, so they were told to go home and ask their parents what their new year's resolution were. Luke eagerly raised his hand.  "I know what my mommy's new year's resolution is. She wants a new husband."
I asked luke later that day why he would say such a thing. "because you yell at daddy all the time," he said.  (honestly, I very rarely yell at him, only to pick his clothes up off of the floor, but I am sure luke notices every time that I do)
So, after my principal got wind of luke's announement to his class, every time he saw me, I heard a match.com joke.  By the way, I am not looking for a new husband anytime soon that I know of.  One is enough for me.

Where should I start???

Well, the main reason that anyone is probably reading this is because you know my child.  No one really ever knows what will come out of his mouth.  I used to walk around with him with my hand always in position to cover his mouth.  Some friends of mine have encouraged me to start a blog, so here it is.  Hope you enjoy Luke and what he has to say as much as I do!  Thanks to one of my best friends, Elaine a.k.a. Buffy, for giving me the idea for the name of the blog.  Luke's first post is coming soon!!!
